Our Mission
Welcome to CdM Spanish Language & Culture Club, a student-run organization that aims to promote a common interest in the Spanish language and culture. We are dedicated to furthering the student's understanding of Hispanic and Latin American cultures through various activities. Our goal is to keep Spanish Club members actively involved in experiences that promote and preserve cultural diversity by celebrating Hispanic holidays, learn Spanish, learn about different customs, and experiencing the food, music, and art of Spanish-speaking countries. We offer Spanish tutoring!
Bienvenidos al Club de Español y Lenguaje de CDM, una organización dirigida por estudiantes que tiene como objetivo promover un interés común en el idioma y la cultura españoles. Nos dedicamos a profundizar la comprensión de los estudiantes sobre las culturas hispanas y latinoamericanas a través de diversas actividades.
Nuestro objetivo es mantener a los miembros del club activamente involucrados en experiencias que promueven y preservan la diversidad cultural mediante la celebración de fiestas hispanas, el aprendizaje sobre diferentes costumbres y la experiencia de la comida, la música y el arte de los países de habla hispana.

Nuestro club está dirigido por un equipo apasionado dedicado a celebrar el idioma y la cultura española. Nuestro objetivo es reunir a nuestros miembros para explorar la riqueza del mundo hispanohablante, mientras se divierten y aprenden en el camino. Ya sea que quieras mejorar tu español, sumergirte en las tradiciones culturales, o simplemente ser parte de una comunidad increíble, ¡nuestros líderes están aquí para apoyarte!
Taylor Price
Position: President CDM Spanish Club
Age: 17, Senior
Born and raised in coastal California, Taylor has distinguished herself as a versatile athlete, dedicated scholar, and committed volunteer. Despite the demands of being a multi-sport athlete, Taylor maintained a strong academic record and is actively involved in volunteer teaching adaptive sports, as well as bilingual Spanish tutoring of elementary school children.
Beyond athletics, Taylor is deeply involved in academic and cultural pursuits. While still in high school, she was admitted to a university research program, where she engaged in cutting-edge research on Language Acquisition. Spanish is her first language.
Taylor is committed to contributing to her community and making a positive impact through the inclusive power of athletics and bilingual education.
Ethan Price
Position: Vice President CDM Spanish Club
Age: 16, Junior
Ethan is a dedicated student at Corona Del Mar High School, set to graduate in June 2026. He is committed to an ambitious academic path, enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses across a wide range of subjects. As a freshman, he excelled in AP Spanish and earned a 5 on the AP exam. His dedication to cultural and linguistic diversity is further highlighted by his participation in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and research with university programs. Apart from academics, Ethan has earned USA Water Polo Academic All-American honors and can be found playing water polo or helping children ages 6 - 12 in ESL Math & English/Reading, and Spanish tutoring.. Ethan is a native Spanish speaker.
Name: Ms. Elisa Ramírez
Position: Advisor for CdM Spanish Language & Culture Club
With over 20 years of experience igniting linguistic passion in students at Corona del Mar High School, Ms. Ramirez is a seasoned educator teaching all levels of Spanish. Her expertise extends to the AP Spanish College Board, where she contributes as a grader, further enriching her classroom with insights from the forefront of language education. Ms. Ramirez's enthusiasm for both language and culture is contagious, making her classroom a vibrant community eager to learn Spanish and to explore the Spanish-speaking world.
